H.E.P.A. FILTRATION
A true "HEPA" filter is classified as one which allows less than 0.03% penetration (99.97% efficiency) of 0.3 micron particles, while an "ULPA" designation is given to those filters allowing less than 0.001% penetration (99.999% efficiency) of 0.1 micron particles. A filter that allows less than 5% penetration (95% efficiency) of 0.3 micron particles is commonly referred to as a "Hospital Grade HEPA" filter, due to its frequency of use in the healthcare industry.
